Ms. Luker oversees the organization’s processes and supervises junior-level managers while reporting to the Director of Operations. As such, she reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures and implements policies and procedures that improve day-to-day operations. She ensures our work environments are compliant and safe and our staff are well trained. Ms. Luker joined Innovation Senior Living as a Resident Care Coordinator and worked her way up the ladder to her current position.
Prior to joining Innovation Senior Living, Ms. Luker started her senior living career in 2007. She has successfully worked as a Resident Care Director, Business Manager and Executive Director, all the while absorbing knowledge and understanding from numerous influencers during her career. Ms. Luker works very closely with those around her, promoting teamwork and time management. She encourages her team to thrive and learn. Leading by example, Ms. Luker plans on supporting Innovation Senior Living and their residents for many years to come.
CLIFTON STRENGTHS:
Ms. Huskic has over a decade of experience in property management and accounting. Some of Ms. Huskic’s critical accounting functions include accounts receivable and payable, payroll, banking, account reconciliations, expense budgeting and revenue forecasting. She is a greatly skilled leader that has led numerous teams to growth and great efficiency.
Prior to joining Innovation Senior Living, Ms. Huskic was a key player in her previous company’s monumental growth. She was a leader in the company’s operations, software, hardware, policies, and procedure implementation that caused the company to run efficiently, while increasing revenue, decreasing expenses, while simultaneously providing quality service to clients and customers. All of which improved company growth and advancement, increased profits, and customer satisfaction.

Mrs. Carvajal is a leading innovator in the senior housing industry. As founder and CEO, she oversees all aspects of the company and is actively involved in operations and growth. Mrs. Carvajal has deep experience managing businesses that incorporate affordability, residential and health care facets. Mrs. Carvajal demonstrates both excellence in using government programs to subsidize services for fixed-income seniors and innovation in providing sensible living solutions for middle income seniors. She believes everyone should live a dignified life, regardless of social or economic background. Profits with a conscience is Innovation Senior Living’s core tenet and that tenet continues to drive the growth of her company.
Prior to creating Innovation Senior Living, Mrs. Carvajal was the COO for Mia Senior Living Solutions. For fifteen years she oversaw the nationwide strategic development and day-to-day operations for the affordable assisted living and adult day care communities the company managed. Prior to her senior living career, Mrs. Carvajal worked as a management consultant for the leading management consulting firm of Accenture in New York City.
Mrs. Carvajal has a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics and Bachelor of Arts from Smith College. She is a Goldman Sachs 10000 Small Business Program Alumni and Miami and Winter Park Chamber of Commerce Leadership Graduate. She is also a graduate from the SBA Emerging Leaders program. She sits on the Florida Assisted Living Association (FALA) Board and serves on the Senior Living 100 Advisory Board. She is also a Mentor in the Argentum Women in Leadership Program. She served on the NIC Fall Conference Committe from 2020 to 2022. She is a regular speaker at senior living conferences including National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC), Senior Living 100, Leading Age and Florida Assisted Living Association.
In March 2017, Mrs. Carvajal received a “Key to the County” from the Miami-Dade Beacon Council. In 2019, Mrs. Carvajal was inducted into the inaugural McKnight’s Women of Distinction Hall of Honor and awarded The Commonwealth Institute Top 10 Women-Leaders in Florida Awards. In 2022, she was nominated to WBL, Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation.

Mrs. Hughes has over 25 years’ experience in healthcare and quality assurance, focusing on workforce development, team management and supporting high performing organizations. Previously Mrs. Hughes was Vice- President of Meridian Senior Living. Mrs. Hughes played a role in one of the largest healthcare acquisitions to date between two of the largest publicly traded corporations and was a key contributor in transitioning the two companies’ cultures, platforms, and employees over a 24-month period.
As part of her past responsibilities, Mrs. Hughes managed portfolios of over 2,500 units across multiple states in the Southeast. She has had diverse oversight of new acquisitions, new developments, and emergency management on distressed portfolios
Mrs. Hughes earned a Bachelor of Business in Management from the University of Phoenix and is a licensed nurse with a compact nurse license. Mrs. Hughes holds a Property Management License in the State of Florida. She has served on numerous boards throughout her career in the Southwest and was on the State of Florida formed advisory Board on Covid-19 Policy and Procedures implementation for Healthcare and Public Settings for Hillsborough County.
