PILAR B. CARVAJAL

Mrs. Carvajal is a leading innovator in the senior housing industry. As founder and CEO, she oversees all aspects of the company and is actively involved in operations and growth. Mrs. Carvajal has deep experience managing businesses that incorporate affordability, residential and health care facets. Mrs. Carvajal demonstrates both excellence in using government programs to subsidize services for fixed-income seniors and innovation in providing sensible living solutions for middle-income seniors. She is a social impact entrepreneur committed to her vision of making the middle market mainstream by creating innovative solutions to serve this demographic.
Prior to creating Innovation Senior Living, Mrs. Carvajal was the COO for Mia Senior Living Solutions. For fifteen years she oversaw nationwide strategic development and day-to-day operations for the affordable assisted living and adult day communities the company managed. Prior to her senior living career, Mrs. Carvajal worked as a management consultant for the management consulting firm of Accenture in New York City.
Mrs. Carvajal has a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College. She is a Goldman Sachs 10000 Small Business Program Alumni and Miami and Winter Park Chamber of Commerce Leadership Graduate. She is also a graduate from the SBA Emerging Leaders program. She currently sits on the Florida Senior Living Association (FSLA) Board and serves on the Senior Living 100 Advisory Board. She served on the NIC Fall Conference Committee from 2020 to 2022. She was a Mentor in the Argentum Women in Leadership Program in 2023.
Mrs. Carvajal is a regular speaker about middle market senior living. She has been seen on the stages of National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) Main Stage and Innovation Labs, Senior Living 100, Florida Leading Age, Argentum, Interface, Urban Land Institute (UHI), American Society on Aging, Florida Senior Living Association (FSLA) and Florida Assisted Living Association (FALA).
In March 2017, Mrs. Carvajal received a “Key to the County” from the Miami-Dade Beacon Council. In 2019, Mrs. Carvajal was inducted into the inaugural McKnight’s Women of Distinction Hall of Honor and awarded The Commonwealth Institute Top 10 Women-Leaders in Florida Awards two years in a row. In 2022, she was nominated to WBL, Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation. In 2024, she was featured as one of the Top 50 Women Leaders of Orlando for 2024.
Mrs. Carvajal is an advocate of education, arts and culture and is an avid art collector. She is a worldwide traveler with her husband, son and daughter. She sits on the Board of Trustees for the Opera Orlando. She is a mentor for Support Our Scholars, where she provides financial and emotional support to disadvantaged young women with extraordinary potential during their college journey.
Eduardo Carvajal

Eduardo Carvajal is a highly accomplished financial planning and analysis leader with more than two decades of experience across senior living, aviation, media, biotechnology, and construction. He currently serves as CFO for Innovation Senior Living.
Before joining Innovation Senior Living, Mr Carvajal was a Senior Manager of FP&A at Kustom US, where he worked directly with the CFO and Controller on consolidated financial statements for more than 35 divisions and has helped implement processes generating over $2 million in cost savings. Eduardo led FP&A functions at EPIC Fuels and Regional One, managing budgeting, forecasting, KPI development, consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, and strategic operational support. His earlier career includes financial and operational roles with Univision Interactive Media, Onboard Media, Beckman Coulter, and investment banking positions with Standard New York Securities and JPMorgan Chase, where he executed M&A transactions and complex financial modeling.
Eduardo holds dual master’s degrees in finance and industrial engineering from the University of Miami and is fluent in Spanish.

Mrs. Hughes has over 25 years’ experience in healthcare and quality assurance, focusing on workforce development, team management and supporting high performing organizations. Previously Mrs. Hughes was Vice- President of Meridian Senior Living. Mrs. Hughes played a role in one of the largest healthcare acquisitions to date between two of the largest publicly traded corporations and was a key contributor in transitioning the two companies’ cultures, platforms, and employees over a 24-month period.
As part of her past responsibilities, Mrs. Hughes managed portfolios of over 2,500 units across multiple states in the Southeast. She has had diverse oversight of new acquisitions, new developments, and emergency management on distressed portfolios
Mrs. Hughes earned a Bachelor of Business in Management from the University of Phoenix and is a licensed nurse with a compact nurse license. Mrs. Hughes holds a Property Management License in the State of Florida. She has served on numerous boards throughout her career in the Southwest and was on the State of Florida formed advisory Board on Covid-19 Policy and Procedures implementation for Healthcare and Public Settings for Hillsborough County.
Jason Nieves
Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Jason Nieves is the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, bringing over 17 years of experience in Senior Living, Long Term Care, and Post-Acute Care to Innovation Senior Living. In his role, he is tasked with driving strategic sales and marketing initiatives to foster brand growth and optimize community performance. Previously, as Vice President of Marketing at Alta Senior Living, he spearheaded campaigns that bolstered lead generation and occupancy. Jason has also held roles as Vice President of Business Development and Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, consistently aligning sales strategies with organizational goals. Beyond marketing, Jason has operational expertise, having served as both a Nursing Home Administrator and Executive Director of senior living communities. In each capacity, he crafted comprehensive marketing plans, led cross-functional teams, and used data-driven insights to drive success. Jason holds an MBA from The University of Tampa and maintains a Nursing Home Administrator license in the State of Florida.
Natalie Yeazel
Regional Operations Director

Natalie Yeazel is the Regional Operations Director, with Innovations Senior Living, where she leads with compassion, dedication, and more than two decades of experience in the healthcare industry.Her career began in 2001 with AdventHealth, where she advanced through multiple roles before transitioning into long-term care.
While working full time in a skilled nursing facility, Mrs. Yeazel pursued her passion for nursing by attending LPN school at night, earning her license in 2013. Her experience spans both administrative and nursing leadership within skilled nursing facilities, giving her a strong foundation in clinical care, operations, and team development.
In 2021, Mrs. Yeazel expanded her expertise into the assisted living sector, first serving as a Marketing Director before obtaining her Assisted Living Administrator’s license. Her dedication to seniors and enthusiasm for the assisted living environment led her to join Innovations Senior Living in 2024.
Driven by a deep commitment to serving residents, families, and her team, Mrs. Yeazel is honored to be part of the Innovations Senior Living family. She believes that life’s path is full of unexpected opportunities, and she couldn’t be more grateful for where her journey has led.

Ms. Huskic has over a decade of experience in property management and accounting. Some of Ms. Huskic’s critical accounting functions include accounts receivable and payable, payroll, banking, account reconciliations, expense budgeting and revenue forecasting. She is a greatly skilled leader that has led numerous teams to growth and great efficiency.
Prior to joining Innovation Senior Living, Ms. Huskic was a key player in her previous company’s monumental growth. She was a leader in the company’s operations, software, hardware, policies, and procedure implementation that caused the company to run efficiently, while increasing revenue, decreasing expenses, while simultaneously providing quality service to clients and customers. All of which improved company growth and advancement, increased profits, and customer satisfaction.
